For current county custody, contact the Modoc County Sheriff's Office and Jail at 102 South Court Street, Alturas, CA 96101, or call 530-233-4416. The public office hours listed by the county are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Direct each question to the office that created or maintains the record:
- For a county booking record or photo, begin with the county arrest-record path and submit a focused request through the official county portal.
- For an Alturas Police incident report, use the city's written request form or contact APD at 200 West North Street, 530-233-2011.
- For someone who may have been arrested today, follow Arrests Last 24 Hours and call the Jail because no official live feed was located.
- For multi-day reports, check the Police Blotter, then verify custody or disposition with the Sheriff or court.
